Shaunak's birthday preparation is always very hectic and very demanding. We enjoy listening to his plans and fulfilling those. He is so much full of energy and innovativeness. He keeps coming with new ideas of how to celebrate his birthday. It really gives lot of joy to be part of that, even if it is very tiring. Shaunak started preparing or rather thinking about his birthday almost 2 months back. He actually wrote on one paper that he wanted to play soccer game during his birthday party. Every week, there would be some addition.

One major demand came up one month before the birthday. He wanted to play treasure hunt. Hmm.. now that needs some planning and thinking. I was trying to avoid that. But this time, Shoumik came forward and made it look so easy. He thought of all the places, he thought of punch lines and all the details. I had no alternative but to go with them.

We also enjoyed Shoumik's big brotherly help. He helped in almost everything. He even conducted the game on his own. That was so nice to watch, it was a great moment to watch grown-up Shoumik.
